Welcome… to Nature’s Classroom
Forest School for Pre-School Education in Radcliffe
Set within the beautiful historic surroundings of Radcliffe Tower with Radcliffe E’es and Close Park nearby, our Forest School offers an everyday adventure in which children thrive.
Each day begins with parents dropping off at our nursery – Kids adVentures Radcliffe, anytime between 7.30am and 9am. We then walk the 5 minutes to our Forest School site where we spend the entire day in the outdoors. We have facilities on site and provision for shelter should we need it.

Once on site each day begins with a circle meeting where we sit on tree stumps and led by the children discuss the rules of Forest School and what we would like to get out of each day.
We then do a structured activity followed by free play before heading back to the nursery for lunch.
Lunch is served in the nursery between 12 – 1pm, we then head back over to Forest School where we do another activity and another session of free play before heading back to the nursery for 4pm. Parents can then pick-up anytime between 4-6pm
Activities
We do a wide variety of activities in Forest School all of which have an educational benefit. Some examples of the kinds of activities that we do are:

Education and Benefits
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and utilise nature and the outdoors to inspire the children and make learning fun.
The children naturally develop skills such as communication and team work from being in this environment, additionally all grow in confidence ensuring they are ready for the transition into big school.
Who are we?
Kids adVentures is a not for profit childcare provider that runs nurseries and Forest Schools across Greater Manchester. The sessions are all run by a fully qualified forest school leader. The team are all childcare qualified and have up to date first aid qualifications. The site is risk assessed daily before the children go to Forest School.
