This week at Kids adVentures Radcliffe we are having a big focus on farm animals. We’ll be looking at all the different types of animals, there place on the farm and the noises they make. We will be doing all sorts of different crafts around animal making and trying out different skills and techniques.

We will be focusing on the noises that animals make and using musical instruments too. We’ll be doing exercise around animal movements and pretending to be animals and we’ll be outside using the tunnels and obstacles as part of the activities.

There will be lots of singing, focusing on animal songs. We have a new child in the nursery who is from Poland and singing songs is really helping his language development. Therefore we’re singing a lot more songs at the moment – this creates a lovely atmosphere for all the children.

In the baby room, we have lot of sensory play planned for the week ahead including sounds and touch, using different textures, music and instruments as added stimulation.

Rea, our in-house chef has got a lovely menu planned for this week:

Monday – Beef Strogonoff with rice followed by Eton Mess

Tuesday – Moussaka followed by Fruit kebabs, the children will be helping to chop the vegetables nice and small for the moussaka.

Wednesday – Cheese and Leek Burgers followed by Victoria Sponge

Thursday – Fish Pie and Vegetables followed by Golden Syrup Cake

Friday – Carbonara with Garlic Bread followed by Yoghurt
