What holiday dates are covered?
The planned dates for 2020 are as follows:
17 – 21 February
6 – 17 April (excluding 10th & 13th April)
26 – 29 May
21 July – 30 August
26 – 30 October
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes we offer sibling discounts and special offers, please check the Eventbrite booking pages for the latest information.
What age range do you cover?
Our Prestwich holiday club caters for 3-12 years in two age groups.
What qualifications do staff have?
All our staff are level 3 childcare trained as a minimum. Additionally all staff hold pediatric first aid certification and L2 food hygiene. All staff have introductory Forest School Training and 4 members of the team are have their Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification.
Where is the Kids adVentures Forest School?
Our Prestwich Forest School is at our OFSTED rated OUTSTANDING Forest School. The address is 1 Radford Street, Manchester M7 4NT). Here we have a dedicated and secure, fenced site at the bottom of the garden. This is where we hold the majority of our holiday club sessions. Kersal Dale is located directly behind our centre and we take groups out into the woods.
What facilities have you got on site?
We aim to be outdoors as much as possible and make our own shelter using tarps or by making dens. We also have buildings on site in case of severe weather and we have full kitchen and washroom facilities.
Is food provided?
Snacks are included throughout the day and those on a long day will be offered a light breakfast.
During the colder months (February and October half terms) a hot lunch will be provided.
For all other holidays (Easter, May and Summer) all Over 6’s will need to bring a packed lunch.
Do you accept childcare vouchers?
Yes we accept all childcare vouchers.
What does a typical day at Prestwich Forest School look like?
7.30 – 9.30am – Breakfast and crafts
9.30-10.30 am – Free play -den building, activities circles, bug hunting etc
11.00-11.30 am- Snack time
11.30-12.30 pm- Structured activities – clay faces, fairy wands, mask making etc
12.30-1.30 pm- Lunch
1.30-2.30 pm- Structured activities – clay faces, fairy wands, mask making etc
2.30-3.30 pm – Story Time plus activity
3.30 – 4.00pm- Teatime
4.00- 5.00pm – Free play -den building, activities circles, bug hunting etc
5.00- 6.00pm – Late pick up- art and crafts within the centre
