Where is the Kids adVentures Forest School?
Our Prestwich Forest School is based from our garden centre – Garden Needs (1 Radford Street, Manchester M7 4NT) where we have a dedicated and secure, fenced site at the bottom of the garden. This is where we hold the majority of our holiday club sessions. Kersal Dale is located directly behind our centre and we take groups out into the woods.
Our Radcliffe Forest School is based at Radcliffe Tower. Drop off and pick up is to our Radcliffe Nursery (Kids adVentures, 2-4 Sandford Street, Radcliffe M26 2PT). From here we walk 5 minutes to the Radcliffe Tower site, we base ourselves from this secure fenced off area doing activity on site and venturing out into the surrounding E’es and parkland.
What facilities have you got on site?
We aim to be outdoors as much as possible and make our own shelter using tarps or by making dens. We also have buildings on site in case of severe weather and we have full kitchen and washroom facilities.
Our nursery is just 5 minutes walk away so we have full facilities there, however we also have use of a building and washroom facilities when we are out on our Forest School site.
